Impressive views, waterfalls, natural pools, local towns, vast flora and fauna, are some of the things you will experience when you take a day to walk on the trails that are in the vicinity of the famous Vallarta Botanical Garden and that adorn the mountains of the Sierra Madre Occidental.
Leave the city behind and join one of our local guides on a hiking trip through the trails that connect the reserve of the Garden to an amazing location, hidden in the middle of the forest ready to be rediscovered by those intrepid enough to join this great experience. Our guides will lead you through the trails, explaining the history, traditions and holistic medicine that surrounds the local culture and the knowledge that has passed through generations about the flora and fauna that surround this site.
Your experience begins when you meet your official Navegante Urbano guide, who will serve as your companion and ambassador through this great journey. Together they will make their way along the stunning south coast of Vallarta, climbing up the Horcones Canyon to the world-famous Vallarta Botanical Garden. From there, the adventure begins as you enter the trails that will take you through the town of Emiliano Zapata and the majestic path that is adorned by fruit trees, plantations and other botanical delicacies. After crossing the river and walking for approximately 1 hour we will arrive at the waterfalls in the middle of the mountain. You will enjoy this area and be amazed with its natural beauty. We will then return to the Garden to have a relaxing meal at our magnificent restaurant “Hacienda del Oro” with generous portions of authentic Mexican cuisine. Finally, you will have free time to stroll through the garden at your leisure, carry out activities such as bird watching, taking pictures, shopping or just relax at the observation platform.
